The following text is for question no. 11 – 15!

While some people may see graffiti as a form of art and self-expression, it is often controversial because it involves the unauthorized use of someone's property. Graffiti is also bad for communities because there are some negative effects on communities.

Firstly, the presence of graffiti in a community can decrease property values. When a community has a high level of graffiti, it can be seen as being less safe, less desirable, and less well-maintained, leading to a decrease in property values. People may be less willing to buy or rent homes or business in an area with a lot of graffiti.

Secondly, graffiti can contribute to a deterioration of the community's aesthetic. Graffiti is often seen as unsightly and can make an area look run-down and neglected. This can have a negative impact on the way that people feel about their community, as it may discourage them from investing in it or taking pride in it.

In addition, graffiti can lead to a perception of increased crime and disorder in a community. The presence of graffiti can be associated with vandalism, gang activity, and other forms of criminal behaviour, leading people to perceive the area as less safe and more prone to criminal activity. This can create a sense of unease and fear among residents and discourage them from spending time in areas with a lot of graffiti.

From those reasons, it can be concluded that graffiti makes negative effects on communities. It decreases property values. It also deteriorates the beauty of the community. Furthermore, it can lead to a bad perception in a community. Not all graffiti ls good to see. That's why graffiti is considered bad on communities.

    Jack and the Beanstalk
    By: Eric Braun

People think it's easy being a giant. You're wrong. It's hard to find shoes that fit. My knees hurt from the weight of my huge body, and I'm always hungry. The worst thing, humans are part of a balanced giant breakfast. But sometimes, they laugh at me behind my back. They call me stinky, and they ring my doorbell and run away.

This boy named Jack was extra bold. One day, he came up through the clouds. While I was out gathering a small breakfast, he tricked my wife into feeding him and then hid inside my house. Come on! Would he hide inside a human's house? That's a crime! "He didn't trick me. I couldn't smell him," my wife said. "He smelled delicious," I said. "Maybe you smell the cat from supper last night." "Go home! Now, I promise I won't eat you." But, he stayed in his hiding place of the little rat.

After breakfast I took a nap. Eating makes me tired. When I took a nap, Jack stole a bag of gold. Sometime later, Jack came back again and again. He tricked my wife into letting him inside. When I came home from picking up a light breakfast, I could smell him. I knew who it was. "Maybe you smell that little dude stew from supper last night", my wife said.

"Give me back my gold. I definitely won't eat you." But, he didn't come out.

Just like before, I ate my meal and tried to forget about Jack. I relaxed my goose the one that lays the golden eggs. Soon, I took a little snooze. Of course, the boy couldn't let a guy rest. You know what he did? He stole my goose. I was really angry. My wife and l searched but couldn't find him. I kept looking, but soon I got hungry. A big surprise, after breakfast, l enjoyed some lovely music. My golden harp sang to me, and the sound was even sweeter than the usual. I risked my eyes a bit. Finally, I had forgotten about Jack. Suddenly, my harp called "Master, Master!" Jack was running off with it, and I thundered after I almost caught up to them, too, but they disappeared into the clouds.

There was a big beanstalk. Jack was climbing down it. I saw my harp. it didn't want to go down. It was dangerous. There was no way, but then my harp called out again, so I went down. That stalk was wobbly but I kept going. The beanstalk shook once, twice, then toppled over. Jack had chopped it with an axe. I fell and broke my crown. I whacked my head. My wife helped me and took me home, "Even if you're big tough giant, that hurts."

My wife said I should forget about Jack, but sometimes I still looked through the hole in the clouds. Jack and his mother got rich selling golden eggs they fattened up nicely. Jack got married. My golden harp sang at the wedding. It was a lovely party.

I’ll tell you one thing. Someday when my crown feels better, I'm going down there to get my stuff back. Jack and his mother were now very rich and they lived happily ever after.

How Does Mural Art Benefit Cities and Communities?

Mural artists are community helpers. Here are some ways how mural art benefits cities and communities.

Mural art improves and makes public spaces beautiful. There was a really rough and ugly wall. Now something colorful and bright. Even the utility box and pipe are disguised by the mural painting. The wall before was in really bad shape. A plain coat of white paint could also be a huge improvement, but in this case, the colors and patterns made this drab parking lot even more beautiful and fun for patrons to local restaurants. Also serving as a city sign, the mural creates a warm welcome for visitors entering the city.

Public murals can make spaces feel safer. At Black Cat Alley in Milwaukee, WI, there was painted with murals after an artist who lived nearby noticed a lot of crime happening in the alley way. Now, the alley is a destination in the city painted with bright and colorful murals. Many people come to visit this beautiful space in the daylight and night making the space feel safer by more people using it as a walkway. Tourists are drawn to the alley as a unique destination in the city. The alley recently added more lights and a community garden.

Mural art can make people feel happy. Artists who have studied color theory know that certain colors provoke different emotions. There is even a particular shade of pink that has been proven to make a person feel angry and even lower test scores. Cool colors like blue, green, and purple are calming and peaceful for most people. Warm colors like reds, yellows, and oranges are exciting or evoke a sense of danger. Stop signs and road construction signs are red and orange for this reason. Certain symbols elevate people's moods, too. Many people feel happy when they see animals and flowers. Professionally trained mural artists use their skills and resources to create designs that can elevate your city.

In conclusion, art, especially mural arts, is very important in public spaces in a number of ways. Mural art can attract tourism because it beautifies public spaces. Public mural art can also make spaces feel safer. Mural art can also make people happy through the colors that the mural artists use.

Why Public Art Is Good for Cities

Studies show that investments in public art can improve street safety, provide tourism and new jobs, and combat social isolation and anxiety. Therefore, public art is good for cities. Here are some reasons why public art is good for cities.

First, public art increases tourism. Murals, in particular, are great for artistic placemaking and city marketing. It's no surprise that art-focused bus and walking tours have grown popular in dozens of cities in recent years, from London, England, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Austin, Texas, where the city-led Art in Public Places program has been funding public art for more than 30 years.

Second, public art can combat social isolation and anxiety. Public art is used to address practical problems like safety. For example, last year in Cincinnati, Ohio, nonprofit organization ArtWorks created a permanent, illuminated art installation to light a popular walking trail in the Avondale neighborhood. The installation has aesthetic benefits, but it has also improved the neighborhood's walkability and residents' safety after dark.

Third, public art provides new jobs. Art Works provides economic benefits to Cincinnati residents. It creates jobs and fosters youth development through an apprenticeship program. Since its founding in 1996, the organization has employed more than 4,000 young people, ages 14-21, and 3,000 professional artists and creatives in art projects throughout the city.

In conclusion, it is no doubt that public art is good for cities because of some reasons. It transforms the public spaces, increases tourism, improves safety, and provides new jobs. In other words, public art has some benefits not only for the cities but also the communities.

Most smartwatches are equipped with touchscreens, sensors, and wireless connectivity such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. These devices can connect to smartphones, allowing users to receive notifications, calls, messages, and even control music playback directly from their wrists. Some smartwatches also include built-in GPS, heart rate monitors, fitness trackers, and sleep tracking features.

Smartwatches are widely used in health and fitness. They help users monitor physical activities like walking, running, and cycling. Some models can measure blood oxygen levels, ECG (electrocardiogram), and stress levels. These features make smartwatches popular among people who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

In addition to fitness, smartwatches are also useful for productivity. Users can check their calendar, set alarms, reminders, or even make contactless payments through apps like Google Pay or Apple Pay.

Despite their benefits, smartwatches have limitations. Their battery life is often shorter than traditional watches, and they depend heavily on smartphones for full functionality. Moreover, high-end smartwatches can be expensive.
