The following text is for question no 16 to 20.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many cities, states, and countries have ‘locked down’, restricting economic activities in non-essential sectors. Lockdown is widespread. Some people argue that lockdown is good for them, but others think that lockdown makes them suffer. In my opinion, lockdown is both good and bad in different ways.
Due to lockdown, nature has rebooted itself. Lockdown decreases the CO, emissions. Because of pandemic, people were instructed to work and stay at home. Therefore, the level of gas emission caused by transportation and industries decreased. It means that the air is cleaner the visibility is clearer, and the water is clearer. For this reason, I think that the environment is bouncing back during COVID-19 while people stay at home. Another reason is that people can spend their time with their loved ones.
In my view, before pandemic, everyone is busy in their work. Therefore, lockdown gives opportunity to spend their time with family at home.
On the other hand, lockdown is curse for some people. For those who do not have enough resources to survive, lockdown has a tragic impact on economy. People are losing their jobs, economy has come down. Although they survive from the battle against corona, I suppose many people will die due to starvation. Closing workplaces shrinks the economic output of regions under lockdown. When a firm is closed due to a lockdown strategy, its client firms located elsewhere would suffer decreased production due to the lack of supply of intermediate goods and services. Suppliers of the closed firms would also see reduced production because of a shortage of demand.
From those reasons, lockdown can be good for nature and family, but it is bad for economic.
16. From the writer's opinion, lockdown is good because ....
A. It harms environment
B. It brings family closer
C. It makes some people lose their job
D. It makes workplaces closed
E. It brings people to starvation
17. From the text, we know that the CO, emission decreases because ....
A. people go to work on foot
B. the workplaces are not closed
C. people much use transportation
D. the number of vehicles on the road decreases
E. some workplaces are in production
18. Which is the expression of giving opinion based on the text?
A. In my opinion, lockdown is both good and bad in different ways.
B. I think that the environment is bouncing back during COVID-19.
C. A firm is closed due to a lockdown strategy
D. In my view, before pandemic, everyone is busy in their work
E. I suppose many people will die due to starvation.
19. If workplaces were going bankrupt due to lockdown, what would happen to their workers?
A. They would not stay at home.
B. They would be instructed to work.
C. They would find another supplier.
D. They would build a new workplace.
E. They would be fired.
20. "Closing workplaces shrinks the economic output … ." The underlined word has similar in meaning to ....
A. Improves

When we visit a public place, we may find people littering. Personally, I don't like people who litters. I think littering should be fined.
First, there is lack of awareness of people. People litter because they feel no sense of ownership. They believe that someone else will pick up after them. Even worse, they notice that the litter has accumulated. As the result, the litter will affect on humans' health and surrounding environment.
Second, most litters are cigarette butts and plastic bottles. As we know, cigarette butts take 2-5 years to break down. They make up nearly 20% of all items littered and leach toxic chemicals into our water, Plastic bottle also takes one million years to break down and release a harmful chemical, BPA, into our water when it degrades. You know what? There are 26 billion plastic water bottles are thrown away annually.
Finally, cleaning and picking up trash take a lot of money. For instance, in Texas, 24 million dollars are spent every year to pick up trash off the roadsides. The following text is for question no 36 to 40.
In some towns, there is no public transportation, except motorcycle taxis. Some people find difficulties to go to somewhere inside the town. I think public transportations in the town are very important.
The first reason is that public transportation provides people with mobility and access. People need public transportation to employment, community medical care, and recreational opportunities in communities. Public transportation may also be serving as a temporary means of transportation until they are able to purchase a car. Transit may also serve as a temporary means of transportation to persons having their private vehicles repaired.
The second reason is that public transportation benefits those who choose to ride, as well as those who have no other choice. Over 90 percent of public assistance recipients do not own a car and must rely on public transportation. Public transit provides a basic mobility service to them and to all others without access to a car.
The third reason is that the existence of public transportation can also help to reduce the town problems. When people prefer public transportation to their private vehicles, it can reduce road congestion and travel times, air pollution, and energy and oil consumption, all of which benefit both riders and non-riders alike.
From these reasons, areas with public transportation systems offer advantages to businesses and individuals choosing to work or live in them. Therefore, it is obvious that public transportation is important.

B. The importance of public transportation

D. The development of public transportation
E. The system of public transportation

A. persuade the readers to use public transportation

D. convince the readers that we should use public transportation
E. explain the readers about the effects of using public transportation
38. The main idea of the third paragraph is ….
A. public transportation makes people have their own cars
B. public transportation provides access to public facilities in town
C. public transportation gives assistance to those who do not have money
D. public transportation reduces the use of private vehicles to public facilities
E. public transportation benefits for those who do not have cars or private vehicles
39. Which of the followings is not the problem that most cities face?
A. Travel times.
B. Air pollution.

4. The following text is for question no. 4 to 5!
Most people live in the cities. As the result, the cities become crowded. In my opinion, living in a city is not fun as you think. There are some reasons to support my opinion.
First, living in the city can affect cardiovascular health. Because of larger populations, cities can have higher levels of pollution, including noise pollution. This could be damaging to your health in the long-term. Too much exposure to air pollution and city noise may cause damage to a person's cardiovascular health.
Second, houses are more compact in urban areas. There are often fewer green spaces. It means you may not always be able to enjoy natural spaces. As we know that green areas help people to recover faster from illness and stress.
The last reason is the higher cost of living. People typically think of when considering moving to a city. Normal living expenses such as rent and utilities tend to be higher in big cities and you may have additional living expenses you wouldn't have in the suburbs such as parking permits and laundry. From those reasons, do you still think of moving to a crowded city?
What is the function of the text?
5. Mention the reason why living in a city is not enjoyable?
