This text is for questions 45 to 50.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many cities, states, and countries have ‘locked down’, restricting economic activities in non-essential sectors. Lockdown is widespread. Some people argue that lockdown is good for them, but others think that lockdown makes them suffer. In my opinion, lockdown is both good and bad in different ways.
Due to lockdown, nature has rebooted itself. Lockdown decreases the CO, emissions. Because of pandemic, people were instructed to work and stay at home. Therefore, the level of gas emission caused by transportation and industries decreased. It means that the air is cleaner the visibility is clearer, and the water is clearer. For this reason, I think that the environment is bouncing back during COVID-19 while people stay at home. Another reason is that people can spend their time with their loved ones.
In my view, before pandemic, everyone is busy in their work. Therefore, lockdown gives opportunity to spend their time with family at home.
On the other hand, lockdown is curse for some people. For those who do not have enough resources to survive, lockdown has a tragic impact on economy. People are losing their jobs, economy has come down. Although they survive from the battle against corona, I suppose many people will die due to starvation. Closing workplaces shrinks the economic output of regions under lockdown. When a firm is closed due to a lockdown strategy, its client firms located elsewhere would suffer decreased production due to the lack of supply of intermediate goods and services. Suppliers of the closed firms would also see reduced production because of a shortage of demand.
From those reasons, lockdown can be good for nature and family, but it is bad for economic.

    46. What does the text tell us about?
    A. Corona virus
    B. Lockdown impacts
    C. Staying at home
    D. Economic crisis
    E. Gas Emission

    47. From the writer's opinion, lockdown is good because ....
    A. It harms environment
    B. It brings family closer
    C. It makes some people lose their job
    D. It makes workplaces closed
    E. It brings people to starvation

    48. From the text, we know that the CO, emission decreases because ....
    A. people go to work on foot
    B. the workplaces are not closed
    C. public people transportation
    D. the number of vehicles on the road decreases
    E. some workplaces are in production

    49. If workplaces were going bankrupt due to lockdown, what would happen to their workers?
    A. They would not stay at home.
    B. They would be instructed to work.
    C. They would find another supplier.
    D. They would build a new workplace.
    E. They would be fired.

    50. "Closing workplaces shrinks the economic output of regions under lockdown." The underlined word has similar in meaning to ....
    A. improves
    B. reduces
    C. closes
    D. makes
    E. postpones
