    “PRONOUN: POSSESSIVES“



     
    Hi, sobat!
    Tahukah kamu apa itu pronoun? Pronoun (pronomina: bahasa Indonesia) merupakan kata yang berfungsi untuk menggantikan noun (kata benda) baik berupa orang, tempat, benda, ataupun sesuatu. Kata itu digunakan untuk mengindari pengulangan penyebuatan sebuah kata benda (noun), nama seseorang, tempat atau sesuatu hal. Pronoun berfungsi sebagai kata kanti (rujukan) noun dalam sebuah kalimat; yang berkedudukan sebagai subjek, objek, kepemilikan, dan sebagainya. Kemudian, pronoun dibedakan menjadi beberapa macam yaitu:

    Sementara itu, selain yang dicantumkan pada table di atas pronoun juga meliputi kata: who, whom, which, that, whose, dan sebagainya yang digunakan sebagai kata ganti subjek, objek, atau kepemilikan pada sebuah klausa kalimat.
    Pada kesempatan kali ini, kita akan membahas “Possessive pronoun”. Yuk simak penjelasannya berikut ini!
     
     

    Possessive

    Possessive pronoun merupakan kata ganti yang menyatakan kepemilikian terhadap sesuatu hal. Possessive pronoun antara lain: my, your, his, her, its, our, their, dan one’s. Possessive pronoun seringkali digunakan untuk membentuk frasa. Frasa ini memiliki struktur: “Possessive Pronoun + Noun”.
    Contoh: My book, your bike, their house, dan sebagainya.
    Sementara itu, possessive pronoun juga dapat membentuk frasa lainnya dengan struktur: “Possessive Pronoun + Adjective + Noun”.
    Contoh: My new book, your beautiful bike, their large house, dan sebagainya.

    Selain itu, possessive pronoun juga dapat digunakan dengan gerunds (Verb-ing), yang berfungsi sebagai noun (kata benda). Perhatikan beberapa contoh penggunaan “Possessive Pronoun + Gerund” berikut ini!

    His swimming is getting a lot better.
    Because of your leaving late, you will have to take a taxi in order to catch your train.

    Berikut ini terdapat beberapa kesalahan dalam penggunaan possessive pronoun pada kalimat; serta, pembenarannya!
